sore throat vs strep throat

We are seeing cases of strep throat at the Peirce School particularly in grade 4. Please be mindful of your child’s symptoms before sending them to school. If they are running a slight temperature in the morning before school, chances are their temp will go up during the day. A temperature is a sign that there is some sort of illness going on. It may be viral or it may be bacterial (like strep throat). I have attached a public health fact sheet that can help you distinguish certain characteristics between a sore throat and strep throat.
